Bismarck High`s Kaleb Graham was named senior soccer player of the year. Graham broke his collarbone a couple weeks ago and didn`t play in the playoffs, but that didn`t stop the East Region coaches from getting a good look at Kaleb`s abilities.
"He`s a super good soccer player but he`s an exceptional kid and the idea that he wasn`t able to play during the state tournament so the East didn`t get to see him playing. So we put together some video and a bio for Kaleb and the coaches were super impressed," says Demons head coach Tim Green.
"Personally I feel like it`s more of what I`ve done off the field than on. I`ll be the first one to tell you I`m definitely not the best playing in the state," adds Graham.
The award is given to a player for what he does on and off the field. Graham`s off the field activities include a trip to Africa during the summer to built churches for a poor community.
