Second Half Surge | Video

Lee Timmerman | 1/31/2013

You can put Dickinson in the group of teams looking to make a run during the second half of the WDA Basketball season. The Midgets have been in a number of close games, but they bring a 3-4 conference record into tonight`s game at Century.

The Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the league right now.

"It seems like since the last time we played them at home they`ve gone on quite a run so with them there are things they do very well, they penetrate really well, they crash the boards very, very well. The biggest thing about us is we have to take care of the little thing that we do rebounds, don`t turn the ball over, don`t force turnovers on our own and we know in 36 minutes it`s going to be a battle," said coach John Wilson.

One of those close games for Dickinson was its first meeting with the Patriots, a three point difference.

There`s a fine line, at the end, when the game is on the line.

"I feel like we`re getting there. We`re just working toward March now and practices are getting better. We`re working on the things we need to work on. All of the losses we`ve had have been fixable things," said senior Jaden Kudrna.

It`s a doubleheader at Century tonight and the girls game is underway.
