You knew it would, and it did. The Rotary wrestling tournament played a big role in the latest coaches wrestling poll. There were two number one ranked individuals from the Bismarck-Mandan schools. Now, there are six.

One of the changes is at 195 pounds, the Patriots Tommy Moravec moves to the top spot after winning the Rotary title. Century is the third ranked team behind West Fargo and Bismarck.

"We got to be happy with the progress that we had and our kids have continually improved throughout the year and our goal has always been match after match and dual after dual and tournament after tournament so we`re really happy with the progress the kids have made," said Century coach Jerald Lemar.

"My goal is to do the best that I can do to keep the team going, keep everyone excited and pumped up and ready to go so that we as a team can do the best we can possibly do at the tournament," said Landon Schmidt, who is ranked second at 170 pounds.

The State Tournament is a month away in Fargo. Century wrestles at St.Mary`s tonight.

The local number one individuals are: Taylon Nein, Lane Kaseman, Ryan Blees and Ricky Galindo of B.H.S. Curt Zachmeier of the Braves, plus the Patriot`s Moravec.
