"Our football team is really excited about Wofford. They`re not just a team. They`re a program. Coach Ayers has been there 25 years and many members on their coaching staff have been there 20 years, so you`re looking at a program. As a matter of fact the punt formation that we use and a lot of the colleges around the country have gone to originated at Wofford," said NDSU coach Craig Bohl
They didn`t originate the option but Wofford runs it well, which will put a different type of pressure on the nation`s top defense.
"Option football is assignment you really have to be sound on all of your assignments but there have been elements of offenses that we have played this year that have demanded that we be assignment conscious. So I don`t think it`s going to be anything outside of their comfort level. However, there is not going to be anybody that has operated that offense at this level. These guys are experts at it. It`s what they do," Bohl said.
The game will be at the Fargodome because the Bison are the number one seed in the national playoffs. NDSU is 11-1 overall. Wofford is 9-3.
It`s a 2:00 start on Saturday afternoon. So our hour long Bison Football pre-game show will begin at 1:00 central time on NBC North Dakota Sports. This is the first ever meeting between the two schools.
