Mandan Lion`s Classic | Video

The first big test for many of the Class-A wrestling teams is the Mandan Lion`s Classic. It`s a two day, round-robin tournament so everyone faces some good competition.

"Right, and that`s the thing we like about it we go out there and put our wrestlers in pools of six people. They get five matches out of the pool and hopefully they come out of the pool in the top four and get a couple extra matches so it`s a good test for us early in the season because we have some tough competition and also we get a significant amount of matches just to see where we`re at and what we need to improve on both individually and team wise," said Bismarck High co-head coach Scott Knowlen.

The Mandan Lion`s Classic is Friday and Saturday at the Mandan Middle School.
