Former Minnesota Viking Defensive Lineman Esera Tuaolo will be speaking at Bismarck State College Tonight. Tuaolo played in the NFL for nine seasons, including five seasons with the Vikes. In 2002, after he had been retired, Tuaolo announced he was gay. He was the third former NFL player to come out.

He has since worked with the NFL in trying to combat homophobia in the league. We caught up with him earlier today.

"I would love or people to come and check out my speech so they can learn something about the GLBT community, about who I truly am and hopefully then can apply it to their lives. Times are changing. People are learning that any form of hating is wrong. A lot of people of people ill have to step up to the plate and face their fears. So I hope a lot of people come to my speech so they can learn something and go out and apply it to their everyday lives because were every where. We are your doctors, your moms, dads, sisters, brothers aunts, uncles, we are your athletes. We are everywhere," he said.

Tuaolo will be speaking tonight at 7:30 in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.
