Sewage Disposal Companies Sentenced for Disposal Violations

Two sewage disposal companies were sentenced in separate cases today on charges of illegal disposal of domestic sewage. A judge ordered both Hurley Enterprises and Mon-Dak Water and Septic Services to pay $50,000 in fines and $400 in special assessments. Both companies are also subject to a Compliance Plan monitored by the Department of Health for two years.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Hurley Enterprises admitted to dumping sewage illegally in Williams and McKenzie Counties in 2012. Mon-Dak dumped sewage illegally in Williams county from June 2011 to January 2012.
