It can be difficult for adults to adopt a healthy lifestyle if it`s something they`re not used to. It`s a lot easier to learn when you`re young. St. Alexius and the Kohl`s Cares program teamed up today to teach second graders in Bismarck and Mandan how to have fun while living a healthy lifestyle.

They talked about physical fitness, activity and nutrition. As well as things like hand washing and ice safety.

"We give them a healthy snack, that`s part of it too so between rotating and getting to ask questions and touch and learn and do, they also get a snack and they just kinda have fun with it," said Amy Rader with St. Alexius.

About six to seven hundred second graders came to the event.
