Oil Tax Cut Setback

The controversial bill that would cut oil taxes by two percent in 2017 did not pass recommendation from the House Finance and Taxation Committee. A large number of Republicans support the bill because they believe it will keep oil companies operating in the state.

Democratic opponents say legislators should focus on addressing the needs out west before cutting oil taxes.
