Two People Sentenced for Reentry of Deported Alien

Two people, who were arrested in separate incidents in North Dakota, will each go to prison on a charge of reentry of a deported alien. Fermin Cadena-Solis, 49, from Mexico, will serve two years and nine months in federal prison and pay a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund. Cadena-Solis was arrested in September in Minot when police responded to a fight near the Guest Lodge Motel.

According to the U.S. Attorney`s office, he had been deported from the United States eight times and had been convicted of eight felonies in the U.S. From 1996 to 2008.

Adan Rodriguez-Garza, 40, also from Mexico, will serve one year and one day in federal prison. Rodriguez-Garza was involved in a traffic accident in January in Williams County. Border Patrol officials found that Rodriguez-Garza was in the U.S. illegally. The U.S. Attorney`s Office says Rodriguez-Garza was convicted of aggravated assault in Texas and deported from the U.S. in 1997.
