Two Watford City Teens Die in Crash

Two Watford City teens are dead and another injured after their car collided with a semi yesterday afternoon on Highway 85. Accodring to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Fenton Matthew, 17, was driving his 2001 Subaru Forester westbound on Highway 85 with two passengers, Hank Allen, 17, and Austin McCaulley, 18.

Matthew hit some slush and and went into the eastbound lane where his car collided with with a semi driven by Jerry Bottoms, 63, of Fairfield, Texas.

The collision ripped the car in half. Allen and McCaulley were pronounced dead on the scene. Neither of them were wearing seatbelts.

Matthew was flown to Trinity hospital in Minot.

Bottoms was wearing his seatbelt and wasn`t injured.

The Highway Patrol says the accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
