Drivers Taking Extra Precautions | Video

Sarahbeth Ackerman | 3/5/2013

Yesterday’s blast of winter weather left Minot with nearly a foot of new snow. And all that snow is bound to cause some problems for anyone out on the roads. According to the Minot Police Department, drivers took some extra precautions this time around.

Even with all those piles of snow, Minot PD said they were pleased to report there were no fatalities or injury accidents within the Magic City and in Ward County.

"I was pleasantly surprised there was less accidents than in a previous storm. It just goes to show me that the community really does care about being safe and looking out for each other," said Aaron Moss, Senior Patrolman.

Moss said they responded to 20 vehicles stuck in snow banks or ditches. And 14 vender benders within the city and county limits.
