"It`s childhood cancer, you have to be involved in trying to support children with cancer who didn`t have a choice in the matter. I mean, we have to do anything we can to support them, so anything I can do to help this cause I definitely have to do”, said Zachmeier.
Callahan will be holding his head-shaving event on March 13, and those who attend will get a special opportunity. "If you`ve donated money, or if you donate money that night, I will give you the clippers and you can shave part of my head."
Thirty-seven employees from the branch will be shaving their heads. So far, they`ve raised just over $14,000 of their $35,000 goal. As a company, MDU hopes to raise over $150,000 for the event.
Zachmeier already rocks the bald look on a daily basis, but Callahan lets his grow out for the event. He says letting un-trained hair stylists shave his head is a little nerve-wracking, but it`s for a good cause.
"At the end of the day, we`ll take the razor out, clean it all up so it`ll be done, and I`ll look like my brother sitting beside me.”
