Awards Presented at Law Enforcement Summit

Law enforcement officers and others were honored at the annual Law Enforcement Summit and Awards Banquet in Bismarck this week. The summit, which took place on February 20 and 21, is hosted by the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

Awards presented were:

Drug Recognition Expert Officer of the Year - Officer Jennifer Gowan, Grand Forks Police Department

Traffic Safety Officer of the Year - Officer Jeremiah Seekland, Bismarck Police Department

Traffic Safety Media Award - Marino Eccher, Fargo Forum

Civil Servant Awards - Tom and Arlene Deutscher, Lynn Mickelson, Vincent Ulstad

Occupant Protection Awards - Devils Lake Police Department, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Northeast Region.

There were also 41 officers who received Commemorative Coin awards for traffic safety enforcement efforts.
