North Dakota exports more than four billion dollars a year in everything from ag and aviation machinery to crops. The North Dakota Trade Office plays a large role in helping exporters generate new sales. That`s why they host the Global Business Connections Conference in Bismarck, to bring business managers together for networking and education opportunities.

"We`re hoping people walk away and that they`ve learned something. And that they`ve maybe met a new friend or two that may help them in their business," said ND Trade Office Executive Director Dean Gorder.

The Governor also named Legacy Steel Buildings in Fargo the 2012 Exporter of the Year.
