Interventional Radiology | Video

The radiology department at Trinity Hospital has a new set of treatment options for patients. Interventional Radiology was launched last month, along with a new radiology suite, 24-7 on-call care, and two highly trained radiologists.

The IR procedure threads tiny catheters through arteries or veins in all parts of the body to diagnose health problems internally at their source. IR can treat cancer tumors, help with drainage procedures and blockage. Before this technology, patients had to go out of town to be treated.

Dr. Kenneth Keller is thrilled about the new technologies, “Our hospital is being challenged like it`s never been challenged before. New doctors, more doctors, more patients require more things, they need more exotic procedure, they need us to be able to do things otherwise they leave Minot and we want to keep our people in Minot.”

The new radiology suite features advanced technology that can clearly see blood vessels in bony or soft tissue. This will make it easier to see the problem.
