Williston Salvation Army Falls Short of Christmas Goal

| 1/31/2013

Following a very successful 2011 holiday season, the Williston Salvation Army says that they fell short of their Christmas goal for 2012.

“In 2011 we surpassed our overall Christmas goal by $120,000 therefore I figured in that increase plus a small percentage more for our 2012-2013 budget,” said Captain Joshua Stansbury.

The Salvation Army says that while there was an increase in donations from letters sent to donors and businesses, red kettle donations were lower. The agency says they ended up $15,000 short of their $250,000 goal.
