Main Street Minute: Gourmet Chef | Video

It`s all about the spicing up a business with the help of your family. If you take a walk inside Gourmet Chef, you can see all of the cookware and gadgets.

"We decided to start the store just because Minot didn`t have a full blown kitchen store," said owner Denise Lindbo.

For Lindbo, this business is so much more than just selling the best cutlery and cookware in town. It was about the family connections that spiced up this store. Lindbo had the business background and her mother had the financial background. The two of them pulled their resources and strengths which landed them a successful business for 20 years.

"The fact that we could do something together, where it was something we both enjoyed was great. And, we knew Minot needed this type of business," said Lindbo.

Lindbo and her mother were able to bond over opening the Gourmet Chef. After almost 20 years, they never lost sight of what was really important, the customers.

"We know a lot of customers by name and we keep notebooks so we can call them when something comes in."

Between the customer service mixed with the welcoming environment, Lindbo hopes it will bring her customers back every time.

Gourmet Chef has a wide range of cookware, bakeware and some fun cooking gadgets.
