Roosevelt Park Zoo Opening Soon | Video

After being closed for over a year, Roosevelt Park Zoo will open its doors once again. Roosevelt Park Zoo announced today it will open on May 4.

Zoo employees say they`re excited to be back up and fully operating. They still have a lot to do until the gates are open, but they say they are pleased with the progress they have made.

Zoo workers say they would not have been able to bring the zoo back to life without their support team. "The whole city of Minot should feel pride that we`ve accomplished this. We would not be here today without all of the countless volunteers that helped us," said Zoo Curator Brandi Clark.

The zoo welcomed back their black and white ruffed lemurs and are continuing to bring more of the animals home.
