There`s a place in Minot where you can get away from it all and not even leave town. If you want to take a step back in time and find that home away from home, Dakotah Rose Bed and Breakfast could be at the top of your list.

"It`s such a beautiful house and it`s so much fun to work at, especially in her big kitchen. And, I think it attracts some people. They like to come and see the house. And, while they`re here, they can visit with our candy line and visit us too," said Nyla Sorensen.

The candy line, Dakota Rose Delights, is a new feature within the bed and breakfast, which offers a wide range of homemade sweets and both cousins, Carol and Nyla, are no strangers to the kitchen.

"My mother did a lot of baking and so did Carol`s mom. She would get me up early in the morning to help bake bread and do things like that, so its always been an interest of mine," said Sorensen.

Carol and Nyla say it`s easy to combine their efforts because of their family connection.

Dakotah Delights offers a wide range of sweet treats such a truffles, caramels, and homemade chocolate.
