NDDOT | 1/11/2013

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have issued a No Travel Advisory for the northwest region of the state due to snow, blowing snow, scattered areas of ice and near zero visibility creating hazardous driving conditions. This includes the city and surrounding areas of Williston, Crosby, Bowbells, Watford City, New Town, and Stanley. Conditions are such that motorists in this area should not travel.

A Travel Alert remains in effect for the remainder of North Dakota due to areas of scattered ice, snow, blowing snow, and reduced visibility. Conditions are such that motorists can still travel, but should be advised that conditions could change rapidly in the evening hours. Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive according to the conditions.

All travelers are encouraged to monitor road conditions, reduce traffic speeds as weather conditions occur and use caution while traveling. For road information, call 511 from any type of phone or go to the website: www.dot.nd.gov.
