Fargo Man Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Drug Trafficking Charges
A Fargo man was sentenced today to life in prison for charges related to drug trafficking. Fred Miles Thompson, 55, was charged with drug trafficking and aiding and abetting a robbery in furtherance of the drug trafficking. He was sentenced today to 40 years` imprisonment on a drug conspiracy charge and to life imprisonment on the aiding and abetting a robbery charge in furtherance of drug trafficking. Thompson pleaded guilty in October to distributing methamphetamine in the Fargo area and admitted to distributing a mixture containing methamphetamine. Thompson also admitted to asking Steve Gibson, Mason Peet and Charles Butcher to rob a Fargo convenience store in October of 2011.
