Oil Well Capped Off | Video

A well that was releasing oil near Lake Sakakawea has been capped off. According to Slawson Exploration, the well started dying and giving up and crews were able to cap it off as of 5:00 this morning. Crews are cleaning up, including skimming the ground for contaminated snow and grass, and hauling all of the waste to a disposal site.

The state Health Department is overseeing the clean up process believes the oil well operations will be up and running by next week.
