The best way to learn how to drive is on the road. But for Quentin Burdick Job Corps students, they`re showing it`s also possible to learn driving skills behind a virtual computer screen. The AAA driving simulator offers real world driving challenges for new teen drivers.

They encounter everyday obstacles such as receiving text messages while driving and having a distracting passenger.

"They are so in tuned with the virtual and the video games and they are so excited to come in here and try this and then when they get behind the wheel, they think that they are just gonna nail it and it`s gonna be really good and it`s gonna be really easy but then they get behind the wheel and they realize how hard it really is. I am amazed at how well many of them can do it though," said driver`s ed test administrator Diana Shackelford.
