Sarahbeth Ackerman | 12/10/2012

A Minot man is in jail after police say he tried to abduct a woman outside Walmart last week. Police say the incident happened just after midnight on Friday. A victim called police saying a man reached into her car and tried to grab her.

Police then received an anonymous call that led them to the vehicle owned by Jacob Greeman.

"Phone calls like that are so important cause really the public is our eyes and ears and without that kinda cooperation with people from the public and people in society our job would be so much more difficult. So we can`t be in all places at all times so getting those calls to us is up most importance," says Lt. Jason Sundbakken, Minot Police Department.

Greeman was charged with Terrorizing, Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle and Attempted Kidnapping. He`s currently being held in the Ward County Jail.
