Attempted Kidnapping in Minot

Minot police are looking for a suspect in an attempted kidnapping early this morning at Walmart on south Broadway. Shortly after midnight, a female employee was leaving Walmart. When she got into her vehicle, an unknown male entered her vehicle through the back. He placed his hand over her mouth and held a sharp object to her neck. The victim got away and ran back into the store.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white male in his twenties or thirties, approximately 5-8 to 5-10 with a slender build and facial hair around his mouth. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a mid to late 80`s model Chevy S10 extended cab pick up. The suspect vehicle is believed to be maroon in color and either very dirty on the bottom or possibly grey on the bottom. The suspect vehicle also has a tool box in the back.
