Jessica Roose | 11/30/2012

Today Governor Jack Dalrymple appointed a replacement for outgoing Public Service Commissioner Kevin Cramer who was elected to Congress earlier this month. Julie Fedorchak currently serves as the state director for Senator John Hoeven.

She has more than 20 years experience with state and federal policy and a knowledge of energy issues. She will start her work in the PSC alongside Brian Kalk and Randy Christmann on January 2.

"Governor, First Lady Betsy, thank you again for this opportunity. I promise you and the North Dakotans I`ll be serving, that I will work very diligently to be a fair, thoughtful and well informed public service commissioner," she said.

Fedorchak says she is considering a run for the office in 2014 when the term expires.
