If you live in Minot, you may have noticed that some of those street-side mail box units aren`t at full service. Out-going mail slots are not usable at many of those cluster type mail boxes in the city`s flood zone.

The boxes were put in place as a temporary fix after the 2011 Mouse River Flood, as residents began to rebuild. But now, the Minot Post Office is starting to phase them out. Whether you received notification or not, you should now send your out-going mail through your home mail-box, or at the post office.

U.S. Postal Service officials told us there is no set time-table for the removal of the street-side mail boxes.
