Weppler Wins Third Commission Seat | Video

All of the votes have been recounted and the final results are in for the Ward County Commission race. With only a difference of 81 votes between candidates Jim Lee and Shelly Weppler, Lee demanded a recount.

County employees and the election board tallied all of the ballots by hand. Then the ballots were run through the scanner once again.

When it was all said and done, Weppler won.

"It was kinda like the survivor winner where you`re just like, `Well, okay, but we`ll wait.` That part of it has been interesting, and I`m glad that`s now behind. And, I`m so excited to get started with the work of the commission,” said Weppler.

Alan Walter and Jack Nybakken were also elected to the county commission.
