Election Results Finalized | Video

The results of the general election are now official. The state canvassing board met this afternoon to double check and certify the results. Both the U.S House race and state representative race in legislative district 24 fell in the demand recount range.

"If they request a demand recount then we will determine what amount a bond has to be deposited with us. Because the person demanding the recount has to cover the cost," said ND Secretary of State Al Jaeger.

The day after the election Representative Rick Berg conceded in the senate race against former attorney general Heidi Heitkamp, no word yet if a recount will be demanded in the other race.

They have until the end of the day Monday to request one.
