Winter Weather Helps Deer Opener

| 11/12/2012

The North Dakota firearms deer opener has proven to be successful for many hunters. The winter weather that hit the state seemed to help a bit. Doug Leier with the North Dakota Game and Fish Ddepartment says the weather had the deer up, moving around and feeding.

All that activity made them more visible to hunters, which comes as a big relief after a tough season last year. Leier says, so far, the Game and Fish Department has not heard of any hunting accidents throughout the state.
