Police chief Dennis Bullinger says the department has already received complaints about trailers parked for long periods in certain parts of town.
"There is an exception. That is if you have family and friends visiting. The order allows them to stay in their travel trailer or motor home up to a seven day period," he said.
Bullinger says if the ordinance passes, contractors and employees would be allowed to sleep at a job site, but they`d have to apply for a temporary permit from the Mandan building inspection department.
