Heavy, Wet Snow in Bismarck | Video

Joel Porter | 11/4/2012

The temp outside is hovering around the freezing mark and about an inch of snow fell in just a few hours in the Capital City Sunday morning.

Much of that melted off right away. But while some people were out shoveling, at least a few kids used the opportunity to play in the snow.

Gage Lee and two of his friends carried their snowboards in search of a hill where they could take a few turns riding.

"I didn`t really notice it until I was about halfway through playing a Call of Duty game with my friend. And then I looked outside and it was all over the ground, so I was like, `Oh, I`m going to come out here and ride some snow,`" Lee said.

Unfortunately, for riders like Lee, it`ll take a few more weeks of heavy snow and chilly temps before Huff Hills south of Mandan can open for the season.
