Avoiding Donation Scams
Kevin Stanfield | 10/31/2012
The Better Business Bureau says if you want to contribute to the disaster relief efforts happening on the east coast, that`s great, but do your homework. In order for your donations to do the most good and to avoid being scammed, the BBB suggests going to their website,
www.bbb.org, to see a list of trustworthy charities.
It also wants everyone to remember to never give out your credit card number or other personal information to a telephone or email solicitor.
