"This piece of playground equipment was put in long enough ago that we may not be able to replace it with the exact same model so we may have to put a completely new one in," said Minot Park District Director Ron Merritt.
But this was not the first time that this playground equipment was taken away. The equipment was lost due to the flood but then was brought back to the community, only to be taken away again by a fire.
With the investigation still ongoing, St. Joesph`s Community Health Foundation is stepping in to help.
"This place, it just needs to be vital, up and running, so those children don`t have the second, the second, devastation to them, that the place that they`re come to know and feel escape is now is gone so we really feel good about this and the board members are ready feel good about this and get moving with it," said Shelly Weppler with the St. Joesph`s Community Health Foundation.
The estimated cost to repair the damage is about $20,000 dollars. St. Joseph`s Community Health Foundation is pitching in to restore the park.
