Belcourt Man Sentenced for Assault

A Belcourt man will serve over six years in prison on a charge of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Kenneth Allery Jr., 30, pleaded guilty to the charge in May.

Allery was charged with stabbing a person with a knife in May of 2011.

Allery will serve six years and five months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release. He will also have to pay over $35,000 in restitution and a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund.
