"We don`t have an age limit, we just ask that parents with young children just keep them close by. If they scare easily, our actors will back away a little bit, but you can expect them to be frightened during the haunted house,” said Recreation Coordinator Mike Amundson.
This will be the Parks Department`s 9th annual Haunted House. Just because you`ve been in the past, doesn`t mean you`ll know what`s coming this time around.
"We try to switch it up every year so that people won`t be going through the same haunted house they`ve experienced in the past, but I`m not going to give away theme of the haunted house as we want people to be surprised when they come in,” said Amundson.
If you`re looking for a more adult-themed event, the Williston Bar Crawl will be happening tonight and tomorrow. Bars throughout town will be participating in the event, and D.K`s Lounge will be having a costume contest.
"We give away first prize of $300, 2nd is $150, and third is $75, and we try to give that out around midnight," said D.K’s general manager Jeremy Eide.
You don`t have to wear a costume if you don`t want to, but Eide says it`s all part of the fun.
"It makes it more entertaining, part of the fun of going out to the bars is to people watch, and there’s some pretty creative soles around here and they come up with some pretty original ideas,” said Eide.
There`s plenty going on this weekend, but if you think you`ve outgrown haunted houses or the bar crawl. You can always carve a pumpkin, rake up some of those leaves you`ve been putting off, or stock up on candy for the trick-or-treaters.
