Novaspect Opens Mandan Office | Video

A company that provides materials to power plants and oil field companies is opening an office in Mandan. Novaspect has operated in North Dakota for the past 18 years. Today the company broke ground for its first office in the state.

The company sells and services valves and computer systems that regulate pressure. It plans to work in the oil fields and collect liquids and gases, measure the levels and eventually get them into a pipeline.

"The expansion out in the Bakken just takes a little bit of the risk away that made us apprehensive in the past. And it`s time to get out here and grow," said president Terry Voigt.

Novaspect is based in Chicago. It does business in several states, but says North Dakota has the best business climate.
