With all the business growth in North Dakota, it`s to be expected that a lot more women will participate in that growth. The North Dakota Center for Technology and Business is holding its first women`s business summit in Bismarck. One hundred seventy five people took part in workshops to help women who are already in business and those who plan to be.

A big focus is on entrepreneurship.

"As women you often just kind of fall into business and you don`t realize you have a business. A lot of them start of as hobbies and so once they get to a certain step they don`t know what to do to move on. So our role is really to come in and say ok you really do have a business and you can do this and these are the next steps you should take," said Marketing and Technology Director Laurie Morse-Del.

Organizers anticipate an even bigger turnout next year.
