There are less than 30 days left, and while the parties don`t see eye to eye on most things, they do on one: making sure North Dakotans get out to vote.
With election day quickly approaching both political parties are committed to making sure the best candidates get elected.
"Up and down the ballot from top to bottom we have some absolutely amazing candidates," said ND Dem NPL Communications Director Rania Batrice.
"We have great candidates this year on the ticket, from top to bottom," said ND GOP Communications Director Anna Nix.
Voters will make that final decision, which is why volunteers for the Republican party are doing all they can to get their message to as many voters as possible.
"We`re getting really strong reaction. A lot of people who will vote straight down the ticket. We have a bell for when people vote straight down the ticket and support the republican ticket. A lot of times the bell is ringing back and forth and there`s cheering, it`s fun," Nix said.
Republicans aren`t the only ones gearing up for the big day.
"Our ground game, I`m just convinced, is unparalleled. We have some really amazing field staffers and I`m sure everyone out there has received some phone calls and door knocks and our mailers. I`m just really proud of our ground game. So I think it`s going to be really exciting coming down to these last 29 days," Batrice said.
With such close races on this year`s ticket, it`s important for both parties to keep going strong for the next few weeks.
So far, nearly 3,800 North Dakotans have already voted through absentee and vote by mail ballots. Those who wish to request an absentee ballot can do so on the Secretary of States website at www.nd.gov/sos.
