Bismarck Schools Hire More Personnel | Video

Kristin Clouston | 8/8/2012

The Bismarck School district will hire seven certified teaching specialists to assist teachers in crowded classrooms. The board had already approved three positions but added four more because there isn`t room to split some large classes.

The district has 286 more students this year. Assistant Superintendent Mike Heilman has put a halt on transfer requests into Horizon and Simle Middle Schools because of enrollment numbers. On Monday, the board will consider capping enrollment at all schools that meet or have exceeded class size guidelines.
