Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Fargo | Video

KVLY-TV | 5/21/2012

Nearly 150 people would have been in Vegas for nearly four hours by now, but they`re still waiting to leave Fargo. That`s after their Allegiant flight was forced to land at Hector International Airport after the nose-gear failed to go up this afternoon.

The plane had to circle around the airport until firefighters and the National Guard gave them the okay to head back. There were some tense moments, but some on board say they felt better knowing the nose-gear was still down.

"I knew it was okay because I heard they said it wouldn`t come up. That`s why we couldn`t fly to a high altitude because, obviously, but I knew that it was still down so we were able to land," said passenger Tyler Nitschke.

Allegiant says passengers were given pizza, drinks and a $25 voucher for future travel. They`ll be boarding another plane from Bellingham, Washington, at around 7:30 tonight.
