Grand Forks Insurance Agent Receives Cease and Desist
| 5/16/2012
A Grand Forks insurance agent who is alleged to have created fake policies has been barred from the insurance business. Tim Everett supposedly contacted two businesses in an attempt to sell insurance policies between March and April. Everett allegedly applied for policies on behalf of clients for products they didn`t want and was paid commissions for the policies.
"This cease and desist order protects the consumers of North Dakota from further harm," said Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm.
Everett can request an administrative hearing within 30 days of issuance.
