Dickinson Cleanup Underway | Video

The citywide Spring Cleanup Campaign is well underway in Dickinson. All residents in the area are encouraged to help clean up the city during the campaign. Trash bags are available for groups participating in the cleanup at the fire department, city hall and the chamber of commerce.

The city fire department organizes the events and say the campaign is very important to the city.

"It can become a fire hazard if it`s dry which it had been. I don`t know, I know we could use some more rain. But it doesn`t look very nice to come into a city and you see all the trash and all the garbage in the ditches. You know it`s more inviting to have a clean city to drive into," said Fire Prevention Specialist Deb Barros.

The citywide spring cleanup day is set for tomorrow, May 3. All businesses are asked to use this date to clean around their business locations.
