Bobby Vee Fights Alzheimers

| 5/1/2012

1960s pop star and North Dakota native Bobby Vee has been diagnosed with alzheimers. He says his family isn`t wasting time doing the things that are important to them. Bobby Vee got his start in 1959 on the day an Iowa plane crash killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper on their way to Moorhead, MN.

Vee was fifteen years old at the time, and he and his friends filled in after the crowd was told of the plane crash. Vee recorded his first hit single shortly after.
