Minot Tower On The Move

A familiar landmark south of Minot is on the move. According to Basin Electric, the Wind-to-Hydrogen demonstration project that`s been operating since July 2007 is moving to Colorado.

Its home has been at North Dakota State University`s North Central Research Extension Center, one mile south of the Minot on Highway 83.

It`s being shipped to the U.S. Department of Energy`s National Renewable Energy Lab in Boulder. It will be used there for continued research in developing a hydrogen fuels market.

The unit is scheduled to be dismantled, loaded and shipped this week.
