Graduation weekend marked a milestone in Joshua Hill`s life.

The college graduate earned his bachelors degree from the University of North Texas alongside his peers...and his mom and dad.

Donna Hill, her husband Buddy, and their son crossed the stage on the same day.

The husband and wife put off their college education years ago.

"We got married and had kids, so the kids became the priority," said Donna Hill. "So we put our own personal wants on the back burner to raise the kids."

"Life happens, whatever comes up and all the sudden education is what gets thrown aside," Buddy added.

When their oldest son enrolled at UNT, mom and dad were inspired.

"I had always wanted to finish it but hadn`t had the opportunity. When the opportunity came up, I had to take it," Buddy said.

The trio moved forward with their educations.

Buddy and Donna worked and raised their other three kids while taking classes.

Joshua lived in a dorm, experiencing the typical college lifestyle.

They all have degrees and a very special memory to hold on to.

Buddy plans to continue working at the University of North Texas, Joshua will pursue a career in computer science, and Donna plans to become a teacher.
