A Foot Fit For A Queen | Video

| 10/4/2011

They say Bri Amat has the best foot at Michigan`s Pinckney High School.

The talented soccer player is also the kicker for the Pinckney Pirates football team.

Friday night`s game will be one she always remembers.

"At half-time I was actually in the locker room, and one of the assistant coaches came in and said they needed me out on the field because the top three had to walk across the field," she says.

Bri was a candidate for Homecoming Queen.

She was wearing her jersey when the vote was announced.

Moments later she was wearing a crown as the new Homecoming Queen.

She didn`t wear that tiara for long.

She had a game to play.

Pinckney was leading 6-0 in the third quarter when their drive stalled out at the 14 yard-line.

The ball was spotted right here on the left hash mark, a 31 yard attempt for Bri.

Just as in practice Bri wiggled her fingers and took a deep breath to relax herself.

The kick was good.

The Pirates went on to win 9-7.

The field goal was the difference, but she credits her teammates.

"I`m getting the credit for it which I don`t deserve at all," she says.

Bri also has a four-point GPA and a great sense of humor about being the girl on a guys team.

"It doesn`t make a difference, we`re all wearing the same pads, well kind of," she laughs. "I don`t have the cup, but that`s it."
