The sounds of music played through the halls at Minot State University Friday.
MSU`s Division of Music hosted it`s annual Northwest Festival of Music. 400 students from across the state were selected to take part in the two day workshop. The festival prepares students for their performance in the Northwest International Festival of Music concert that takes place Saturday Night.
"These kids are amazing. I mean they don`t have school today, they could be out deer hunting, but they aren`t. They are here, wanting to learn and get better," says Ken Bowles, Minot State University.
The concert will take place in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.. Tickets are 5 dollars. All money raised from the event, will go towards music scholarships for students. |
