| New hotels are breaking ground around the Magic City. First, we take you to southwest Minot, where a new 83 room hotel is being built directly behind Brentmoor Retirement Home. Candlewood Suites is expected to open early next summer. Rooms will feature a full kitchen, large workspace, and environmentally friendly amenities: including low flow shower heads and toilets. Construction on the hotel is set to cost more than $5,000,000. A couple months ago, Hampton Suites submitted plans to the city planning commision for a hotel to be put up right across the street from the Grand International. The commission approved the plans and granted the hotel a permit. Donna Bye, from the City Planners Office says they are just waiting for the hotel to go through with the construction process. A family is coming together in Parshall to open up a new restaurant. CJ`s Café will be located on Main Street in the building that used to be the Redwood Café. The Coffee family will be running the business together. The café will feature a menu that offers hamburgers, steaks, reubens, and daily specials. The restaurant is set to be open in a couple of weeks. |
